Asian Stock Exchanges at mid-day were higher. (Dow Jones higher - up 82.19 to 14,000.41 points) - .

Hang Seng Index : 23,179.80 up 163.60 points, Nikkei 225 : 18,180.25 up 63.68 points.
Petroleum Oil Prices
Petroleum oil closed higher overnight, up USD0.87/barrel to USD75.92/barrel August delivery. In Asian trading hours, Light Sweet Crude for August delivery was down USD0.12 to USD75.80/barrel. Brent North Seas Crude for September delivery was down USD0.15 at USD77.52 per barrel.
General Market Information
Good morning. - CBOT closed higher overnight. Aug 37.63 +13, Sept 37.94 +14, Oct 38.20 +11, December38.76 +17, January 39.10 +22, March 39.35 +22, May 39.50 +28 on soybeanoil. The open interest on the MDEX dropped to 62,123 lots. E-cbot last traded : August +2, September +15 and October +18 on soybeanoil. ITS reported 1-20th July exports at 644,332 metric tons against 661,626 metric tons for 1-20th June (minus 17,294 metric tons or -2.61%). SGS will release their report later today. MDEX was steady but towards the morning close, it traded off the high and closed almost near the day's low. October MDEX traded from RM 2513 down to RM2486. It closed at RM 2486 (plus one point only). Total volume was moderate at 5,228 lots. OND RBDP Olein was rumoured to have traded at USD750. Most traders will await the SGS figures now.
